Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 27, 2026

Daily Maze ("we", "us") is a daily puzzle game available at dailymaze.app and as a mobile app. This policy explains what data we handle, why, and the choices you have. The short version: no ads, no trackers, no analytics, and we never sell or share your data.

Data we collect

Data stored on your device

Your preferences and personal results are stored locally (browser storage on the web, app storage on mobile): solve times, settings, theme, player ID. You can wipe all of it at any time with "Reset my progress" in the app's settings.

What we do NOT do

The only third party technically involved is your browser vendor's push service (e.g. Google, Mozilla or Apple) when you enable web notifications — that is how web push works, and it only transports the notification.

How long we keep data

Leaderboard scores and account data are kept for as long as your account or scores exist. If you delete your account, everything linked to it is permanently removed from our database.

Delete your data

Account holders: delete your account and all associated data (scores, email, notifications) at dailymaze.app/delete-account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Playing without an account: use "Reset my progress" in the app settings to wipe local data, or email us your pseudo to request removal of your anonymous leaderboard entries.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords are bcrypt-hashed and session tokens are stored hashed, so a database leak would expose neither. We collect the minimum needed to run a worldwide leaderboard.

Children

Daily Maze shows no ads and offers no chat or social features beyond a pseudonymous leaderboard. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; creating an account (the only place an email is asked) is optional and not required to play.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
